Weekend Recap | Fourth of July

We rented an inflatable slide to celebrate our independence. What says "America" more than 20 somethings having a waterside, just because they can?
Even Sperry joined in on the fun.

I also threw together some festive cupcakes. The "sparkler" toppers were purchased from Hobby Lobby, and they were just the right touch.

I tried out an idea for some festive pasta salad to go along with the Patriotic theme, too.
With pearls and a stethoscope

I think it turned out pretty well, so well in fact that it was gone before I captured a good picture of it.

After the nibbles were prepared we awaited the arrival of our friends. We snapped a few photos before sliding into the fun. Someone has pictures of our slide fun, but I haven't gotten my hands on them yet.

We spent the remainder of the day rushing down the waterside and bumping into each other. It was the most fun we've had on the Fourth of July yet! What did you do to celebrate?
