Green + Tartan

I don't think I could be more excited about the chilly weather we've been having lately. It gives me a chance to break out the wonderful finds that have been hiding in my closet. The pants are new from Teal in Charleston, but the rest has been in my closet for several weeks. The scarf is much like the coveted Zara scarf from last year, but this one is from ASOS (here, and another here). Classic

I've never been a fan of black. My closet is 50% navy, 40% cream with a few other colors thrown in. I found these fabulous BCBG heels last fall, and they have been a favorite of mine since. The problem was that I didn't have much black to pair them with. Over the last year, I've been accumulating a few classic black pieces, but this one I'm featuring today is my number one favorite. 

I promise I will get some better detailed pictures when the weather decides to cooperate with me. 
When I stumbled upon this dress on ASOS I knew it would be a classic. I originally ordered the size 4 based on my measurements. The 4 fit, but I just didn't feel comfortable with how tight it was. It is a body-conscious dress, but I just liked it being a tad more loose so it's more appropriate for various settings (Thank you ASOS for free shipping both ways).

Sephora + Pantone

I may have been living under a rock the last year, but I just found out that Sephora and Pantone have teamed up to bring you your perfect match for practically any brand of makeup. I had planned on taking my little sister to get her color matched for her first makeup, but I also needed to get a lighter color for myself for fall. I've filled out my Sephora Beauty Insider profile long ago, but this is a little different. It asks you questions about your skin and what your major concerns are, for myself I answered dry skin and fine lines. They then take this handheld contraption that takes a picture of your skin in pitch darkness. It allows them to focus on skin physiology instead of the other lighting factors that often interfere with picking good colors. (Read more about it here)

The results were absolutely amazing. I was really nervous when she told me the bareMinerals bareSkin was several shades lighter than the shade I currently have, but I couldn't be more ecstatic with the results. Not only did it tell me my bareMinerals shades, but it also gave me tons of shades in other brands for me. If you haven't been, I encourage you to go and get matched (even if you think you know what color you are). It was so spot on, my older sister went to get matched on Sunday. Sleeping Beauty

Last but not least we have Aurora, from Sleeping Beauty. Often overlooked as she doesn't have an attraction for her either, she does have three fabulous fairy godmothers. I couldn't find the perfect blue and pink dress her lovely fairies made her in the movie, but I do love this blush maxi dress. Its easy to wear and flowy enough to keep you cool in the heat. And of course you need a headband tiara to top it all off. 

Pocahontas

Although she doesn't have her own attraction at the park, Pocahontas is another lovely character I'd love to emulate. Her neutral tones are perfect for any time of year, and everyone loves a bit of leather. 

Cinderella

Cinderella is another classic that you just can't leave out when thinking of Disney. Her castle is the centerpiece to the entire park! Here I've put together a perfectly practical yet royal outfit for a day full of adventures around her castle. Pop on a pastel dress and a headband and you're ready for your ride in the pumpkin carriage!

Minnie Mouse

In anticipation of our trip, I've put together some outfits inspired by some of my favorite Disney characters. First up on my list is the classic Minnie Mouse. It wouldn't be right not to consider her polka dots and bow for an outfit to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Just a tad of Plaid

What better way to transition between seasons than taking pieces from each one and melding them together? I have every intention of getting as much wear as possible from these fabulous skinnies, and I just couldn't let this pretty plaid sit in the closet any longer!

Product Review | Benefit Push Up Liner

I was very excited to hear that Benefit was creating a new liner earlier this year. I have used the same CoverGirl Liner since I can remember, but it just doesn't last long enough for me. I read several reviews about the Push Up Liner and decided I needed to take stab at it.

Many of the reviews out there say that it's clumpy, and hard to use. The lovely sales associate at Sephora gave me a quick demo on how to prevent those problems. I'm very glad she did because I absolutely love this liner.

One very important thing she told me is to use it like a pen/pencil, not a brush. I think that's where many beauty buffs out there are going wrong. I have never been keen on brush on liners, so it was rather easy for me transition.

When you first open it, it needs to be turned about 8-10 full clicks before the liner is at the tip and ready to go. 2-3 clicks is perfect for each stroke on each eye. If you want a bold line, click it - apply it - click it - apply it until you have the desired thickness.

I learned the hard way not to click it too many times, otherwise you'll end up with a waste of product and several clumps.

My favorite feature of this liner is its builability. It's fantastic for very thin lines that give you natural looking definition. It can also be easily broadened for a bold eye that will look fabulous for a night on the town. Here is how I wear it on a daily basis.

It also stays much better than the other liners I have tried. One thing I've read is it's too hard to remove. Again, I have to disagree. I always use coconut oil to remove my makeup as most makeup remover cloths are extremely harsh on my sensitive skin. Just rub a pea size amount of coconut oil on each eye, let it sit for a minute and wipe off with a Kleenex! It's also a great way to remove They're Real mascara (but it may take a little longer).

I'm a huge fan of neutrals. It's practically an addiction, and this ASOS pocket sweater is no exception. It's soft, comfortable, and fabulously chic. Thanks to our unusually cool weather yesterday, I paired it with my absolute favorite fall treat, that's right the pumpkin spice latte. I don't care if it's not officially fall, it is in my book!
