First off, I'm so excited to be holding the Blog Baton today! For those of you just stopping by, this was a peek at my weekend.
Saturday was spent on the water with plenty of food of course. We decided to head out despite the grey skies and were happily rewarded later on with some sun!
Boat day necessities: sunnies and sunscreen. This sunscreen from Coppertone is my newest favorite! It smells wonderful and is 50 SPF |
You can't have a boat day without some delicious fried chicken. |
Sunday I donned my favorite beaded dress as we headed to church, then celebrated Cuatro de Mayo at our favorite Mexican restaurant. We filled our bellies with cheese dip, flour tortillas, and my personal creation: grilled chicken taco with grilled onions and bell peppers.
With our bellies full, we headed back out on the river again with our favorite married couple. We putted around for hours enjoying the gorgeous weather. The pups got a little bored just sitting on the boat, so they decided to try and retrieve some crab pot bouys.
Hours later, tired hungry and a sunburnt, we headed back to the house. After taking a quick shower, we joined our sweet friends at their home as they cooked us a fantastic meal. I can't wait to share one of her amazing recipes for guacamole dip later this week!
Don't forget to check out instagram and follow along with the Blog Baton fun today!
